Thanks to the generosity of Delta Air Lines, Lexus of Ann Arbor, and all of our many sponsors and supporters, the second annual CHAMPs for Mott weekend raised $250,000 for two critical programs at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital: the U-M Congenital Heart Center and the Charles Woodson Clinical Research Fund.
On Saturday, May 16, approximately 300 CHAMPs attended the strolling Culinary Gala inside Delta Air Lines’ hangar at Detroit Metro Airport where chefs from 6 different states prepared delicious dishes. Guests included Wayne County Executive Warren Evans, Miss Michigan KT Maviglia, and Super Bowl XLI star Cato June.
Then on Monday, May 18, golfers took to the South Course at the prestigious Oakland Hills Country Club. Rico and Ryan of Detroit Sports 105.1 broadcasted live, while 1996 U.S. Open winner Steve Jones, Channel 4’s Ashlee Baracy, NFL star Jay Feely, and 100 other CHAMPs enjoyed a competitive round of golf all in support of C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
